H2R Assetto Corsa Server
#1
Hello everyone,

I've created a server on Assetto Corsa for members to practice with others around Harris Hill from home. Mat Beck worked with the guy who created the map. Thank you!!

0) Join Steam
1) Install Assetto Corsa from Steam
2) PayPal Eric $25 http://paypal.me/ekosimracing
3) Use 7Zip or WinRAR to extract the file he gives you access to. Windows built in extractor does not work for some reason.
4) Copy the extracted folder 'eko_sr_harris_hills' here: "Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks" note that in the compressed file Eric sends out, he has 'eko_sr_harris_hills' burried within a folder, confusingly also named, 'eko_sr_harris_hills'. So you want to copy the 'eko_sr_harris_hills' which is one level deep.
5) Download "Content Manager", which is just a streamlined interface with which to play the game. https://acstuff.ru/app/ . This will just be one file called 'Content Manager.exe', and now you'll just run this executable to play the game.
6) Open 'Content Manager', go to "Settings" (at top), and then "Customer Shaders Patch", then "About and Updates" on left and install version 0.1.79 (most recent tested version. Helpful youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr42fD6C7DQ
7) Download 'Sol' here: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/sol.24914/. It comes with good instructions, but basically you copy the files included in that package to the root directory 'Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa', and say 'yes' to overwrite when prompted.

Then restart 'Content Manager' and you should be able to run the game from there and select Harris Hill.

To join the sever, open up Content Manager. Click on the "Online" tab on the top of the screen. Underneath "Online" there will be a search icon, click on the icon and type "Harris Hill" if the server isn't showing up, make sure to click on the "Empty" button below the search bar to show empty servers. If there are any issues or want me to add any specific cars to the server, let me know. The server should be running 24/7

It should show up as "Harris Hill Raceway - H2R Member Server"

Stay warm and see y'all at the track.

Thanks, Daniel!

Yesterday the V1.0 release of the updated Harris Hill track was released - Eric (who designed the track) doesn't allow you to buy the track online, he manages track releases via email, so please send him a message if you'd like the track.

Any updates will be emailed out once completed.

Awesome. I filled the form out on the website - hopefully that's the right way to connect with Eric.

Downloaded Assetto Corsa yesterday, excited to try this out.

Got this working - super impressive modeling of the track! I'm not a gamer at all but I'll be on the hunt for a steering wheel and some pedals to really enjoy the experience.

I'll try to give a distilled version of the required steps for non-gamers:

0) Join Steam
1) Install Assetto Corsa from Steam
2) PayPal Eric $25 http://paypal.me/ekosimracing
3) Use 7Zip or WinRAR to extract the file he gives you access to. Windows built in extractor does not work for some reason.

Note that with Content Manager you don't need to extract the 7z file, you can just drag the file on top of CM and install through there.
